Where Help Scout is strong

  • Many channels in one inbox: email, live chat, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, with phone through integrations.
  • AI in the inbox for drafts, summaries and translation, plus an AI agent in Envoy that answers customers from your help content and hands the rest to your team.
  • A knowledge base with your own branding and CSS, and more than one Docs site per account.
  • Workflows, routing, SLAs and reports, with more than 100 integrations such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Jira.
  • A free plan for up to 5 users, a 15-day trial on Standard and Plus, and SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA on their security page.

Where Flagbell is different

  • Made for several brands: each brand has its own addresses, widget, help center and language, and you see them all in one inbox with a brand filter.
  • GDPR built in: access and deletion requests get their one-month deadline, export and erase take one click, and the audit log shows who handled each request.
  • A light chat widget per brand without third-party trackers or cookies. Outside office hours, your answer arrives by email in the same conversation.
  • Connect your own AI agent, like Claude, over MCP. You choose per connection what it may do, and sending email is off by default.
  • Hosted in the EU, behind Cloudflare. Flagbell is in development with a waitlist, has email and live chat only, no integrations, and pricing isn’t announced yet.
