The short version

Choose Zendesk if you need phone, social channels, AI agents that resolve requests on their own, detailed reporting or a big app marketplace. Choose Flagbell if you run several brands, mostly answer email and chat, want GDPR deadlines in your inbox and don’t mind joining a product that’s still in development.

Where Zendesk is strong

  • Email, messaging, live chat, voice and social channels like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram in one place on the Suite plans.
  • AI agents on every plan, billed per automated resolution, plus a Copilot add-on that helps agents write and triage.
  • Prebuilt analytics dashboards on every plan, with AI-built reports and more dashboards on Suite Professional and up.
  • A marketplace with more than 1,000 prebuilt apps and integrations, plus an API for your own.
  • Room to grow: up to 300 brands and help centers on Suite Enterprise, with skills-based routing, a sandbox and custom roles.

Where Flagbell is different

  • Made for several brands: each brand has its own addresses, widget, help center and language, and you work from one inbox with a brand filter.
  • A light chat widget without third-party trackers or cookies. It loads fully only when someone presses the button.
  • GDPR in the inbox: a request for access or deletion gets its one-month deadline, and export or erase takes one click.
  • Connect your own AI agent, like Claude, over MCP and choose per connection what it may do. Sending email is off by default.
  • Small and in development: the inbox, live chat and AI connection work today, the help center is in the works, and pricing isn’t announced yet.

Flagbell vs Zendesk: questions

Is Flagbell a Zendesk alternative?

For teams that mainly answer email and chat for several brands, it can be. Flagbell is smaller and still in development: the inbox, live chat and AI connection work today, and it has no phone, social channels or reporting dashboards.

Can I move from Zendesk to Flagbell?

You forward your existing support addresses to Flagbell, and replies go out from that same address. Your customers keep writing to the address they already know.

Does Zendesk support multiple brands?

Yes, on the higher plans. Zendesk’s help center says Suite Professional includes up to five brands and Suite Enterprise up to 300, each with its own help center. Lower plans have one brand.

What does Flagbell cost?

Pricing isn’t announced yet. We’ll announce it before we let new people in, and everyone on the waitlist hears it first.
